Adelman Hirsch & Connors is honored to be sponsoring Mother's Against Drunk Driving's Walk Like MADD event to be held at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, in Fairfield, CT on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. This is the first event for Walk Like MADD in Fairfield County. This is a non-competitive, family-friendly 5k walk to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while intoxicated. All proceeds from the walk will go to support programs to help victims of drunken diving and support programs to reduce drunken driving. Adelman Hirsch & Connors supports MADD in its effort to prevent these tragedies.
Our commitment to MADD arose out of our representation of a family whose bright and beautiful 18 year old daughter was killed in a tragic collision caused by an underage drunk driver. The driver had been at a party hosted by one of his friends whose parents were not home at the time. Even though all of the people at the party were underage, they were nonetheless able to purchase alcohol at a liquor store. We brought successful lawsuits against not only the drunken driver but also against the young man who hosted the party, the liquor store that sold the alcohol, and all of the people who brought alcohol to the party.
Our law firm represents individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. In addition to filing lawsuits against drunk drivers, we have filed lawsuits against restaurants, liquor stores, social hosts, fraternities and other businesses who unlawfully serve alcohol to minors or recklessly serve alcohol to adults. Our goal is to make sure that those who play a role in producing these tragedies are held accountable.
If you need help in one of these cases, we would be honored to represent you.
